Game 1 saw the Mustangs Elite players beating the Riot 6-5 on a winning goal at :46 seconds left in the 2nd period by Javier Martinez from Joe Fritz. 3 stars of the game were #1 star Javi Martinez, #2 star Jeremy Mamon and #3 star Travis Hawkins. 2 goals by Jeremy Mamon and Travis Hawkins, and 1 goal a piece by Stuart Shiraishi and Javier Martinez. Mason Nave had 3 assists in the game that saw 4 penalties for the Mustangs and 3 from the Riot. Game 2 saw the Mustangs go down to defeat 7-2 with goals from Javier Martinez and Jeff Brown. The Mustangs were without vocal on and off rink leader Shawn Hickey as he was serving a 4 game suspension. 10 penalties in this game as it was chippy in spurts throughout the game. Coach Sousa was interviewed before the game and said these 4 points were very important to the team who is currently in 3rd place in the division.
