Game 1 In a battle of 2 rivals the Mustangs Minor and Elite clubs split with the Riot Saturday night as both went 1-1 in their divisions.  Starting the night off were the minors as the Mustangs were missing suspended forward Alex Flores who is serving a 4 game suspension, and trying to go were injured players Matt Braun and Matt Bianco both with minor injuries. Getting to game 1 the Riot beat the Mustangs 5-1 as the lone goal was by Matthew Wallace assisted from Jack Pain. 6 minutes in penalties for the Mustangs who out shot the Riot 26-13.

 

Game 2 would be a different outcome as the Mustangs routed the Riot 8-2 in which the Mustangs scored 4 goals in each period. 3 stars of the game were #1 star Matthew Wallace with 4 goals and 1 assist, #2 star Matt Braun with 1 goal and 2 assists and #3 star Kevin Manning also with 1 goal and 2 assists. Elvis Hernandez stopped 16 of 18 shots by the Riot and was all over the goal crease making plays. 7 of 8 goals for the Mustangs were even strength as Matthew Wallace shot home the lone power play goal set up from Matt Bianco and Nick Laverias.
